When it came to whiskey making, no man was more dedicated than Jack Daniel. It’s the reason he’d wait patiently while the whiskey mellowed through 10 feet of packed sugar maple charcoal, and why he’d closely watch over every batch.
Some say his love of whiskey was the reason Jack never married. Others say he was left heart broken, and forced into his dream of whiskey making, by a young maiden named Clara Boone.
Either way, we do hope that Mr. Jack takes some satisfaction in knowing that some 150 years later, women in more than 140 countries around the world go into bars and ask for his name.
