Some bands create great works of art – and then there’s the Jack Daniel’s Silver Cornet Band. Outfitted with instruments that he purchased himself, Mr. Jack thought his band, like his whiskey, was the perfect way to bring people together. But with exuberance that often outmatched their ability, the group of townsmen and distillery workers never quite hit the big time.
Fortunately, promoting the Silver Cornet Band wasn’t Mr. Jack’s only job. And luckily, even after 150 years, his other one is going just fine.
