Just like Old No.7 and Single Barrel, Gentleman Jack is charcoal mellowed before going into the barrel. But then it takes another trip through charcoal once it's reached maturity. This extra ‘blessing’ gives Gentleman Jack its exceptionally smooth finish. Jack Daniel toyed with double mellowing, but due to limitations back then he never quite perfected it. We're glad we discovered his recipe. And we think he'd be proud of the result.

Cheap, not Whiskey
Perhaps the worse whiskey ever, you need cola with it just to make it palatable. Here in the UK it is my worst seller. Stop advertising it as, quote "The world's favorite whiskey" unquote. Not a patch on REAL whisky
Love gentleman Jack over ice
Single malt lover amazed
I have always been a single malt drinker and always thought bourbon was for those drinkers who did not appreciate a unique taste, "one bourbon is just like another" was my answer when offered a choice. Boy was I wrong, I received my first bottle of Gentleman Jack as a Christmas present and was ready to drown it in Coke as a Jack & coke. Before doing so I decided to try it neat just to see if I was right, and NO I wasn't. I have to admit that Gentleman Jack is in the same category as single malts, it is smooth and has a mellow taste even when drunk on its own, (my preferred way of drinking it). In fact I think that is how it should be drunk, it would be a crime to mix this with anything other than more Gentleman Jack.. As for pricing, you get what you pay for and I am happy to pay for a quality drink and think the price compares favourably with a good malt whisky.
