Even though Lem Tolley inherited the Distillery, it was his brother Jess Motlow who was taught the art of crafting fine whiskey by his Uncle Jack. Sadly few had the chance to savor his nephew’s talents. His time as Master Distiller was interrupted by 29 long years of National Prohibition. Thankfully his vigilance meant that when Prohibition was finally repealed, the whiskey returned unchanged in character from the day Mr. Jack made it. So this bottle’s for Jess, Master Distiller from 1911 to 1941.
